The most recommended activity in Mozambique is swimming with dolphins or scuba diving! Next on the list is to hire quad bikes. You can go paragliding at Sky Island or golfing at Jack's barefoot bar and the best prawns will be found at a local restaurant just outside the Malongane campsite, called Paulos. There are loads of great restaurants and pubs in Ponta Malongane, including the Sunset Shack, Drunken Clam, Jack's, Amigos, the Upside Downers restaurant and drinks at the dive camp beach bar overlooking the beautiful Malongane Bay.
And on the way from Ponta do Ouro to Ponta Malongane, just after the 360 degree restaurant is a drive-thru R&R place called Skara!!

Then you have the local markets to browse through in both Malongane and Ponta do Ouro.

There is great snorkeling further up north past Aloha - parking at Ximixwene, called Fredericos if you need to drive there, otherwise it is an easy 15-20 minute walk north along the beach. Make sure you get there at low tide.

Most places take rands, so no need to exchange money if you are from SA, otherwise there is a BCI ATM in Ponta Do Ouro where you can draw meticals.
